COMPOSTABLE MASS ON A DRIP

2026
Sculpture.

Cob. Reused laboratory boiling flask, climbing rope, rescue pulley system, aluminium, pomp, tubing. Steel, wheels, survival blankets.

The sculpture was part of the Building, destroying, and rebuilding cob colmuns as high as our bodies at Manif d'Art Biennal, Quebec CA

The drip system maintains the cob's moisture levels so that the material remains pliable and malleable throughout the duration of the exhibition. The drip system is housed within a 1950s laboratory boiling flask which is hung from the ceiling using a pulley system used in mountain rescues. The cob is wrapped in a survival blanket.
